Prepare for launch, we are almost ready for take-off. The world of extreme sports is often regarded as having no limits, but in reality we have always been limited. We are limited by where the jumps are. We either travel to them, or we build them close to home. That is about to change, the limits are about to be removed, the countdown has begun.
World Wide Patent Pending Design
There is a reason a portable ramp has not existed until now. Designing a ramp strong enough to handle the expected forces and impacts while light enough to carry was initially described by engineers as “an extremely difficult undertaking”. They were right. It took almost ten years of development to finally meet the criteria required. The result is a unique product, injection moulded from a blend of composites and covered by a worldwide Patent. If Batman owned a jump ramp, he would own a Jumpack.
One of the key features of Jumpack is its ‘self-opening ‘Transformer’ style one-piece design. Once removed from its transportation harness, the ramp can be deployed in under ten seconds. Using our Patented spring loaded central telescopic pivots; the three deck sections click into place automatically as the decks are rotated into position. The legs are auto deployed by gas struts once the decks are in the locked position.
Three Ramp Height Options
Although designed as a single unit, we have also incorporated a feature that allows the user to adjust the height of the ramp by removing the individual deck sections with a few turns of an Allen key. This allows beginners or younger users to learn the basics of getting air in relative safety. Additional sections can then be reattached as confidence and experience develops.
Jumpack has been designed to satisfy a wide range of users and age groups. It was essential that we were able to deliver a ramp light enough for even the youngest users to carry with ease. Following a series of focus groups with young riders and skaters we established a target weight that would be suitable for younger users. After years of investigating manufacturing techniques and materials, we have been successful in producing the lightest product possible at under 6.5kg.
Shock Absorption System
The inherent problem with a lightweight jump ramp is that when hit with force, they tend to move or slide. Jumpacks Patent pending design incorporates a shock absorption system consisting of two separate suspension units that absorbs the impact as you hit the ramp, ensuring that it sticks to the ground like a limpet.
Detachable Action Camera Mount
One of the most popular features of Jumpack is the facility to attach your action camera and film all of your jumps, tricks and on occasion, crashes. The camera can be attached in both the medium and highest ramp height options. The Jumpack combined with this unique feature allows you to create the moment, and capture the moment.
